Cookie Policy

Last updated: 18 June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how PhonicSky uses cookies and similar browser storage. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What we use

We use only what is needed to run the service securely. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

  • Authentication session — keeps you signed in to your account (set by our auth provider, Supabase).
  • Kid-mode session (kid_mode_token) — a secure, http-only cookie that runs the protected kid-mode experience after PIN entry.
  • Cookie preference — remembers your choice on the cookie banner so we don’t ask again.

2. Analytics

We use PostHog for privacy-respecting, aggregate product analytics — to understand which features are used and where people get stuck, so we can improve PhonicSky. It is configured to be privacy-first: it stores its data in your browser’s local storage (not cookies), does not record sessions, and we never send it your child’s name, PIN, or other personal details — events are anonymous and aggregate. We do not load advertising or cross-site tracking trackers.

3. Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking the authentication and kid-mode cookies will prevent you from signing in or using kid mode, as these are strictly necessary for the service to function.
